Restoring awareness between the body and mind creates balance, ease of breath, stabilization and body tone. The attention is on posture, alignment and internal stabilization to dramatically improve flexibility and coordination. This therapeutic movement method is widely accepted for pain reduction and neuro-muscular rehabilitation. Also an excellent tool for sports injury prevention and training. Pilates can be done on a mat or on specialized equipment. Private sessions are now available on the Pilates reformer equipment.
